A Few Short Funny Rhyming Poems

Dad said when I grow up,

I can be the funniest, funniest,

Best me I can be,

People will even pay to see me,

I love to tell jokes,

I love to pull pranks,

So much so,

Sometimes,

I even get spanked.

But when everyone is still,

And my few tears are dried,

My brain is still racing and storming,

With more funny jokes and pranks inside.

Too many nicknames,

Just tell me the truth,

Do I look like a Boo Boo, Jr., Pee Wee,

Squirt, or Bud or Juice?

This nickname thing,

Has got to stop!

Instead of calling you,

Mom and Pop,

I think I'll call you,

Mr George Thomas Jarowski

And Ms. Lillian Anne Gabor

To remind you I don't want to be,

Nicknamed no more!

My Daddy smells like tobacco and books,

Mother, like lavender and listerine;

Uncle John carries a whiff of cigars,

Nannie smells starchy and soapy and clean.

Shandy, my dog, has a smell of his own

(When he's been out in the rain, he smells most);

But Katie, the cook, is more splendid than all--

She smells exactly like hot butterd toast!
